Montville Township Facts

Montville Township is located in east central Medina County in northeast Ohio, and is one of the fastest growing townships in the county. Rolling farmlands, creeks, woods, and new upscale neighborhoods afford its over 12,000 residents with the finest in comfortable planned communities.

Already a wonderful place to live and a great place to do business, Montville Township’s commercial corridors are growing rapidly and offer a wide variety of retail amenities. The township offers superb access to the interstate system, and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is a 25-minute drive north.

Since economic development is a top priority for the Montville Township Trustees, they formed a Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) in 2009 with the City of Medina, which provides grant opportunities for growing businesses and access to the township’s Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) property tax abatement program. For more information about participating in the JEDD program, contact the Planning and Zoning Office at (330) 725-8313. To inquire about the CRA program, contact MCEDC at (330) 722-9215.

The township is pleased to be a priority area for Medina County’s new residential “fiber to the home” offering, which will bring high speed broadband to Montville Township’s neighborhoods and new options for commercial customers. Completion of construction is estimated by the end of 2021.
